In less than 15 minutes, you can be on some of the county’s most spectacular beaches – soft sand and clear turquoise waters that could easily be mistaken for the Mediterranean. There’s no shortage of charming villages nearby either. Spend a slow afternoon exploring Fowey, with its independent shops and brilliant food scene, or head to Looe, our closest town, where fishing boats bring in the catch each morning, perfect for the freshest crab sandwich. If you’re here to stretch your legs, there are endless walking routes to explore, from dramatic coastal trails to the wild beauty of Bodmin Moor. Adventure-seekers could hire a boat, go paddleboarding, cycle one of the nearby paths, or even escape into the tropical world of the Eden Project.
